Exciting stuff

Wow - it's taken half a week to get over Crop Waikato and find the energy to write something...
But today I am REALLY excited about my new toy I get on friday ;) So I have to share... more on that later.

So the crop was great... exhausting but great. Was super cool to meet some new chickas... Hiya Penny! and hang with some 'oldies' aye Trace ;) Hahaha jokes.

I got 2 half pages done - and they still lay unfinished on the lounge floor... ate WAY too many peanut M&Ms... good times, good times.

Stole this from Vicky... Arlo is so super cute... honestly.

Ok and now what is it that I am super excited about... this will be my new toy on friday.... jumpin up and down... yay!

OK So I guess I had better close the door on the whole "So you think you can Scrap" comp.... this was my layout for round 7... you had to scrap your own style... surprisingly I found it hard - my "style" is like totally random. I didn't end up placing anywhere but hey it was an experience.

SUPER SUPER excited about Saturday... CROP WAIKATO BABY! Can't wait... although it's literally going to take me all week to get organised. And I'm so making a mix tape... inflict someblog tunes on you all in real life! Oh and if your coming make sure you make your classy name badge ;) Also I said I would so here is a quick photo of my 'travel album'.... totally stole this idea form the ab fab Emily Falconbridge. Not too sure how I'm going to go with customs and this... thinking I might chicken out and grab a book from work yet... hmmm...

OK have to go sort out some photos to print for saturday! Yaya... found a heap of older ones on the newly fixed PC.

PS: Thanks for all the love on the last post... it's still weird... Mike's dad is taking her from Taupo to Little Bay to lay her to rest in her fav place... that's almost the saddest part. It's the end of a chapter...where Mike Snr, Claire and Tarsha all lived together for so long...

Sad stuff... Mikes dog Tarsha had to be put to sleep on saturday. She was a super woof and we are so sad that she's gone... I really feeling for Mike cause I don't think he's really letting on just how hard it's hit him.

A REAL blog update...

Because lately I've been so uninspired to really write anything... but there has been stuff happening so I need to get it down right ;)

So I am pretty much working every weekend until mid August in a bid to get as much holiday spending cash as I can. Tomorrow it will be exactly 2 months.... everyone says it'll go really fast but honestly right now it just feels like its dragging... argh.

Work wise I am FULL ON at the moment. You see my day job position is Stationery Buyer and my 'big thing' every year is Back to School! Yip that's right... so right now I am filling all of our orders for thousands and thousands of exercise book, pencils, erasers, compasses, pecil cases, school bags, duraseal, pens, felts, paint, brushes... the list is massive... and it's all got to be done in about a week so I've been taking the MP3 player to work so I can head down bum up on it.

Outside work we've been to see Hancock... like the last Will Smith movie I saw, first half good, second half... errr... ok.

Last sunday we took the Pontiac to a car meet... it was the Cadillac Club but they invited us to their 4th of July meet. (spot her in the background...)

My friend Hayley who first introduced me to scrapbooking had a little girl 3 weeks prem (they went home yesterday).

On a sad note my poppas partner passed in her sleep last sunday morning so yesterday I went to her funeral in my old stomping ground of Huntly... I tell you as long as you are away from somewhere it just doesn't change. So many memories at that church. Crazy.

OK so now I am late again...

I do have exciting news on the horizon...

It's all about doors and windows right...

I wanted to cry...

...but instead I just had a massive smile from ear to ear. The postcards are all written, places we will see in just over 2 months...

I simply can not wait to get out of here... for a real break from reality... to see Jes and Johnny... it is going to be amazing.

This will be a really quick one... I have to get to work.

This one's been a down week... but that's ok... I am focusing on the good things... like yesterday we picked up our tickets from the travel agent... love that they are here and real!

And also on that I have a man who when I had a really bad day yesterday took me to the movies and to MickyDs for a sundae... love love love that man.
